Welcome to Style Me Green, I’m Erika, and I’m glad you stopped by. I grew up running through potato fields in Southern Idaho with my best friend, our family tabby cat. I could be found grinding up wild flowers to make homemade perfume, or filling aluminum cans with rocks to make musical instruments for the neighborhood band. On my way to becoming the first woman President, I got side tracked and ended up with duel degrees in Interior Design and Political Science. Now, as an interior designer, I get to play in the great indoors and I love every minute of it. I spent a summer in New York City working for the king of color, Jamie Drake, before finally settling down in the mountain resort community of Sun Valley, Idaho.
When it comes to the environment, I don’t think we need to sacrifice style and glamour to make a positive impact on the planet. That is what this blog is all about, I truly believe that you can have your cake and eat it too. Speaking of cake, when I am not working on design projects, I love to discover tasty new recipes and test out natural beauty products. On the weekends I enjoy rummaging through antique shops, or searching local flea markets for undiscovered treasures.
